About me

I am an occupational therapist and my terminal degree is an ScD (Doctor of Science in Therapeutic Studies). I am an associate professor at the Medical College of Georgia. I have participated in research in multiple capacities since 1986. I’m hoping this blog will encourage and assist more of us to jump on in and produce the evidence that our profession needs.

  1. Oh yes please!! I’ve just arrived at your blog today via OTblogs – great stuff, and I hope you write more. I’ll be putting your blog into my blogroll to encourage occupational therapists to read and enjoy (and hopefully DO).

  2. Hi – I think a research blog is a great idea and will hopefully get more OT’s interested. I’m an OT (degree is OTD) and work in research in a university setting, however not in an OT program! The type of research I’m involved in is multi-disciplinary, with individuals whose backgrounds range from design and architecture to computer science and engineering. I see this as a good way to get the word out that OT skills are useful in settings other than just healthcare.
